#1
"Hose Cart"
A blast from the past - our first piece of apparatus was a hose cart. Years after buying a new pumper, our company fixed up old #1, won a prize for Oldest Appearing Apparatus at a parade, and proudly housed it in our kerosene heated firehouse. It dried out and fell apart. Farewell #1.

"HPVFC's First Pumper - 1940 Ford"
Purchased in 1940 to replace the hose cart, this Ford pumper was sold sometime later. The truck was used as a centerpiece restaurant bar somewhere in Pennsylvania. Sold at auction to a gentleman in South Jersey our original registration was discovered in the glove compartment. When he contacted us, we were thrilled to repurchase this touch of history, refurbish it, and bring it home.

Comedy Unit
"1932 Model A Ford"
Our comedy unit consists of a 1932 Model A Ford manned by a varying team of nutty firemen. This vehicle has taken Comedy Division first place in parades all over New Jersey by popping wheelies and shooting flames from the tailpipe. Our stiffest competition is at the NJ State Firemens Convention Parade where we have taken second place, 1997 and 1998.

Our First Elevated Piece
"1989 Sutphen 65 Foot Elevated Platform"
1989 Sutphen 65 foot elevated platform. Carrying 1000 gallons of water with a 1500 gpm Hale pump, it is supplied by 1200 feet of 4" hose. Primarily used as a pumper, this truck is considered a Quint, or multi-use piece, because it has the capability of producing an elevated Master Stream during heavy fire loads to protect exposures.
